I want to say thank you for the recommendations on a better choice of running shoe.  I always thought the different styles were more of a slaes gimmick than a necessity.  After my foot scan revealed my foot structure and why I needed  a motion control shoe. I have noticed I can run or "plod along" as my wife says, with less tension in my legs and feet.  I am even considering trying a 5K this summer.

Thank you for your recommendations and care I received for my iliotibial band condition.  The stretches and soft tissue work you performed helped me return to my running.  The video analysis of my running form pointed out some errors that contributed to not just my iliotibial band problem but also helped me focus on better posture not just while running but throughout the day.

I have read many articles over the years about running form in magazines and researched it on-line, but after Dr Lee videoed by gait cycle and pointed out some areas of concern that could create possible injuries in the future.  I knew I was in the right place.  I did not tell him of all the different problems I was having, and when he pointed out different things as we watched the video and he asked me if I ever had problmes with different things, I was slightly embarrassed that I was not honest up front but was satisfied that I was in the right place for answers.

I first came to Dr Lee as a referral through my cross country coach.  I was having pain in my lower quadriceps which had forced me to reduce my running to next to nothing.  After we reviewed my video and exam findings, he determined I had a hamstring problem that was not allowing my legs to go into full extension which was keeping constant tension on my quadriceps.  After he showed my some stretches and he worked on my spine and hips I was able to return to my running.

I was training for a marathon and began developing some small nagging injuries and decided to contact Dr Lee after a friend told me about his latest equipment to analyze my running gait.  I was hesitant at first since I have had several gait analysis before.  When he informed me about the OPTOGAIT and that he was the only facility in the State Of Michigan that uses it, I was interested.  Besides the data that was printed off from the gait analysis he performed, he also did a couple performance tests that identified muscles weakness that I would have not realized.  Having been a long time runner I thought my muscles were in great shape, boy was I wrong!After reviewing the data he recommended some specific drills and rehab to help stabilize my weaknesses.  We also talked about other health care options to help me enjoy a better wellness lifestyle.

I was three months into my training for a 100 mile run when I started developing some pains in my legs that I had not noticed before.  When Dr Lee performed his examinatin that invovled me twisting and turning he pointed out that I had restricted movement from one side of my body compared to the other.  I also had trouble balancing on my right leg compared to my left which I had not realized.  When he had me walk barefoot then with my shoes on and he showed me on the monitor the data and video difference between my two strides was unbelievable.  After a few chiropractic adjustments, some hip strengthening exercise we restested after two weeks and showed a big difference and the two strides were within inches of each other.  It was neat to see the improvements from the first test compared to the second.  Advances in technology!
