How We Can Help

Many injuries that runners and walkers develop happen for several specific reasons.

The most common reasons are:

  1. ERRORS IN TRAINING

  2. SHOES

  3. ABNORMALITIES IN YOUR GAIT CYCLE (RUNNING FORM)

Please review our information on SHOES and GAIT CYCLE. If you feel that your problem is a result of a possible abnormality within your gait cycle or form, we may be able to give you some recommendations.

How can we do this? The easiest way is to send us a video ( DVD, cassette, 8M, VCR) of you running. Or clinic can analyze you in our gait analysis lab.

Our analysis will include:

  1. A personalized written report and instructional DVD with comments and recommendations of the biomechanics of your gait cycle. (running form)

  2. Recommendations with specific drills, maneuvers, and/or stretches to correct postural abnormalities and or technique changes

  3. Written report with recommendations on your training and nutritional surveys (if completed)

FEES
If you provide the video taping:
$50.00 (written report of findings with recommendation of drills and maneuvers)
$65.00 (written report of findings with recommendation of drills and maneuvers. Including written report of your training and nutritional surveys.)

If we provide the video taping:
$75.00 (written report of findings with recommendation of drills and maneuvers)
$90.00 (written report of findings with recommendation of drills and maneuvers. Including written report of your training and nutritional surveys.)

Checks, money orders or credit card numbers with expiration date must be included with the video or paid at the time videoing is performed in our gait analysis lab.

If you are providing the videotaping, the following is the order we recommend you perform your videotaping. Time usually takes 15 to 20 minutes of video time to complete.

This can be done outside or on a treadmill. If you are videotaping outside you must allow at least 30 to 40 yards of video both coming towards the camera as well as away from the camera.

Including a side view the same distance. If you are taping while on a treadmill, 30 to 60 seconds of each view must be done. View from the front, back and side.
